Sweet September

Hey guys!
For once it's a breezy day in Sunny California so I went for a transitional look that suited the weather! I absolutely love transitional looks because I get to wear comfy fall pieces with cute summer pieces, which is basically the pairing of two of my favorite things together.

The skirt has floral patterns and is pretty summery so I paired it with a loose sweater to give the look an autumn vibe. The sweater is very flowy and soft which makes it perfect for autumn. It also doesn't go down all the way to your wrist which makes it a really nice transitional piece that can be worn when the sun is out but it's a little breezy.

I went with simple black boots for the shoes because I wanted to give it the fall vibe and also didn't want too much going on for this simple outfit.

Looking for Trouble

Hey guys happy Thursday!

The star of today's outfit is this Levi's jacket.
My younger sister asked me a question and I wanted to answer it on here for all to hear. Her question was, "I still don't know, is it okay to wear denim on denim?"
and the answer is YES! it's absolutely okay to wear denim on denim. In fact, I encourage it. For a long time people have strayed away from wearing denim on denim but it's actually totally acceptable and stylish.

I'm still in that transitional look phase because even at the end of September, this California sun is not going away. I really didn't accessorize much because i believe you can have a strong statement piece that makes your outfit really stand out without accessorizing. Plus when I have a denim heavy outfit I like to keep it really simple to give it that classic look.

Olive Juice

Hey guys!
Today I went for a casual summer look that could be worn everyday.

I've been dreaming of going on a tropical vacation somewhere and although i can't go, I can dress the part at the very least. And what's a vacation without a big vacation hat right?

The dress by itself is really cute but I wanted to add a pop of color with the jacket. It's a light jacket so you can definitely wear it in the sun as long as it's not too hot. Overall it's just a really comfortable outfit that can be worn for any occasion.

I hope you guys enjoyed this casual summer look!

Where the Wild Things Are

Hey guys!
So today I went for a transitional look perfect for a casual outing or even a night out.
It's still a little too hot to go full on layering, but a comfortable long sleeve shirt and a vest is just the right amount of layering for this season (well at least in California).

The main piece of the outfit is the fur vest. It's fake fur don't worry.
I really like this piece because fur can be a great statement piece when worn the right way.
I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit pretty simple and uniform by not adding too many colors because the star of the show is the vest FUR SURE. (Sorry I needed to throw in this pun somewhere)

Don't ever be nervous to try wearing unique pieces because I swear once you just go for it you'll definitely be glad you did!

I hope you enjoyed this look!

The Kiss that Killed Him

Sometimes a girl's best accessory is a red lip.
In today's look I went for a rocker vibe using some basic pieces. I felt like I was missing something so I added the bold red lip and it really brought the look together.

I also took a chance and wore my little sisters' round sunglasses. I've always wanted to be able to wear round sunglasses but I never had the courage to because I thought I looked alien-esque with them on, but I actually loved how they match the outfit and just went for it.

The jeans are from forever 21, and boy are they comfortable (not to mention they were like $12). They're high wasted so they give you a slimmer appearance as well. The top and necklace are also from Forever 21, and the heels are from a random shoe store in Japan!

Hope you enjoyed!

Mint Condition

I'm reverting back to summer. I'm sorry guys. In my defense, it's way too hot in California to layer.

But don't worry, you can wear a cardigan to make it a fall outfit. I took one picture with the cardigan on but started to realize I was sweating profusely from the heat.(Sorry that's probably TMI. oh well.)

I kept the accessorizing pretty minimal because the outfit already has enough of a kick to it with the crochet pattern on the top and the colorful maxi skirt. When you have powerful pieces you really don't need to do too much to add to it!

So I found both the top and the skirt at ROSS, and ordered this cardigan on ebay. I think the outfit cost about 40-50 dollars in total. The lesson here is that it doesn't cost a fortune to look good!

Hope you enjoyed!

Comfort Zone

I'm taking simple and comfortable to a whole new level today. Also I'm breaking the "no white after labor day" rule because I'm not a fan of that rule. (sorry)

Just because it's fall, it doesn't mean you have to always layer 5 different things. Sometimes you just wanna throw on a shirt and jeans! This outfit is an everyday look perfect for a casual outing.

The top is a comfortable knitted t-shirt sweater, and you can just pair that with jeans to have a minimalist and cute outfit! To add a little pop to the outfit I wore these grey floral wedges. You could just as easily wear even more casual shoes to make it full on comfortable as well.

Top: Lipstar (from Japan)
Jeans: American Eagle
Necklace: Forever 21
