Out of this World

Hey guys!
It's my favorite day of the week: Friday! Hope you guys are getting ready to enjoy the weekend with friends and family. I'm sure most of you will be watching the superbowl on Sunday, I'll just be eating food. As usual.

Today's look features this little dress that my sister gifted to me. I used to hate everything galaxy print because I thought it was tacky, but even I fell in love with this dress and it's changed my mind forever. It's not too over the top with the print, and I think it's easy to play it down with accessorizing and hair/makeup.

I paired the dress with a simple purse and necklace, and pulled my hair back so that the look remained pretty simple. I didn't want to over accessorize and make this a tacky outfit which is why I think it's always really important to keep accessorizing pretty simple.

Hey guys!
We've been experiencing the most beautiful weather in California and I've finally been able to pull out my high waisted shorts! You all have no idea how excited I am to be able to wear shorts without tights underneath.

Today's look is a super casual look that's perfect for everyday. Today's look is also extremely inexpensive because almost everything is from Forever 21. I know we're all pretty broke after Christmas and New Years so it's always nice to have a look that we can all afford. Forever 21 is such a lifesaver whenever you need to put together a last minute outfit on a budget.

The shorts are a bold statement piece so I think it's important to keep the rest of the outfit relatively simple so that you don't overdo it. The outfit would be cute with or without the denim jacket, so it's more so for if it's too cold. I like to match different shades of denim so that it's not too intense of a denim overload.

I can be sophisticated too

Hey guys! Happy Sunday! I hope you’re all enjoying the nice three day weekend. I’m just spending the whole weekend sleeping and sleeping and sleeping. My favorite thing to do.

Today’s look is a bit more of a sophisticated look that’s still casual enough to wear out to dinner with friends. I got this great trench coat from Forever 21 and it’s a really light coat so it’s perfect for fall weather where you don’t want to be too bundled up but you still need a little something. Right now in California the weather is all over the place and it’s not always the freezing cold winter so this coat is coming in handy already!

It has a beautiful flow that looks so classy and elegant which gives the look a sophisticated look when paired with a nice pair of jeans and a nice button up.

I also played it up with boots and a big chunky necklace to keep the look more sophisticated. The jacket is pretty versatile so you could definitely go for a more casual look by pairing it with a crop top and high wasted shorts. But that’s for another season.

Hey guys!
To those of you in California, I hope you’re enjoying this beautiful day as much as I am.

If you guys are like me, you save your cutest outfits for the weekend. During the week I work with kids so I’m super limited to what I can wear. So on the weekends I pull out all my crop tops and shorts and try to get a week's worth of fashion in!

Today’s look is a perfect look for a weekend getaway or just hanging out! It’s casual enough to wear out to the mall or for lunch, but you could just as easily wear it out at night. It’s pretty much a day to night look which is perfect for the weekend when you don't want to go home and get changed.

I wanted the whole look to revolve around the floral print so I kept all of the other pieces very basic and black. When in doubt, you really can’t go wrong with all black. It’s always in style. This look is definitely more of a fall or summer look but if you wear a coat with it you could definitely make it a winter look as well. I’m so blessed to be living in California where I’m able to wear crop tops during January, but I know that’s not always the case for the rest of the world.

For the Love of Chic

Hey guys! Happy New Years and happy Sunday!
I hope you're all having a great beginning of the year and that you've all made some new years resolutions that you'll stick to. I personally want to experiment more with different styles and that's just what I did for this look.

You may think I'm a little crazy for wearing this skirt in January in this freezing weather, but it's all for the love of chic. Sometimes fashion involves being a little cold right? You could always wear some tights under to keep you a little bit warmer if you aren't as daring as I am.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, contrast between different styles is always a good thing! I paired a feminine skirt with a more masculine leather jacket and I love the contrast here. You don't always have to go 100% girly and it's fun to experiment with mixing styles.

The jacket is a maroon color that works really well with the white and dark blue print on the skirt. So I just basically have contrast all over this outfit and surprise surprise it somehow works! Sometimes you just have to go for it and see what works.
